My current focus is on female traditional headdresses, through which I aim to start a conversation about folklore and how it shapes our sense of self and our sense of togetherness. How might diverse folkloric heritages serve as a path rather than a barrier? What connection can we forge that invites diverse voices to shape a forward-looking future?

For my part, I was born in Mariupol, Ukraine (which is now occupied by Russia). I was raised in Lincolnshire, UK, traveled around Europe and backpacked around Australasia, settling in Cornwall, UK. So for me, this collection is very personal, as I navigate my own feelings surrounding my identity and heritage.
