If you've already looked through my website, it's pretty obvious that I am fascinated by colour. The more vibrant, the better. In a world torn by war and economic pressures, colour becomes an essential luxury, and so my artwork demands to be un-apologetically vibrant to elevate the everyday. Yellow is my signature colour, used to illuminate my art and produce honest, joyful energy.
I'd say I've been creative since childhood, when dance played a major part in my life. My first degree was in Choreography and Visual Arts, although when it comes to painting, I am self taught. Following my degree, I did some travelling, after which I decided to pursue another (very different) interest of mine - Law. I retrained and became a Solicitor, however, the call of creativity has always been strong, and during my first pregnancy, I was compelled to start painting. Like some women experience cravings, mine wasn't for food but for making art.
Since then, my artwork has been exhibited at the Holy Art Gallery in London and Athens following which I have been working on commission only basis. Currently, I have a small selection of paintings available for sale, which you can find on my 'Shop' page.
My artwork claims the space between the figurative, naive and pop-art styles. The palettes are bold with subtle textures and compositions that exuberate poise. I work with acrylics on canvas and aim to bring about character and elegance to each of my pieces, inviting conversation, warmth and a sense of refined playfulness.
